Diamonds

It all comes down to personal preference and what works best for your style and budget. Some customers prefer a higher quality diamond, and some prefer size. We recommend booking an appointment either in person or online to discuss your options

Depends on what you’re going for. Both lab-created diamonds and earth-created diamonds from Fairy Tale are conflict-free and vary in their diamond grading. Lab-created diamonds allow you to maximize your budget, giving up to 50% more size for the same cost, while earth-created diamonds are incredible works of nature and the traditional choice. See our Lab vs Natural diamond page for more information

Yes – Fairy Tale Lab grown diamonds are graded to the same standards as our earth-created diamonds. That means your lab-created diamond will be accompanied by an independent laboratory report detailing its “5 Cs” – cut, colour, clarity, certificate and carat weight. If your diamond is mounted into jewellery, it will also be accompanied by an insurance appraisal. For more information see our education guides:

We only source polished diamonds from suppliers who can verify that their diamonds have been ethically mined and are certified conflict free in line with the Kimberley Process and UN resolutions.

All Jewellery is designed by the owner and made in our prestigious Hatton Garden Workshop.

Bespoke Jewellery

Bespoke jewellery is designed and tailored especially for you.

It all starts with a conversation. You’ll meet with our designer to tell him why you’re creating your piece and share any ideas you may have and explore the possibilities together. From this, they will develop designs especially for you.

The bespoke process starts with a consultation. After this initial meeting, our designers will work on the designs and the pricing, which can take up to five working days. Once you have approved your final design and placed your order, it will take three weeks to create your bespoke piece.

If you need your jewellery in time for a special moment, we will try our best to have it ready in time. However, this is arranged on an individual basis and depends on the complexity of the design and any gemstones that we may need to source.

Yes, you will be able to see CAD sketches in your consultations.

Our designers will start sketching their ideas during your initial conversation. After this, they will work up the illustrations and present them to you – along with the quotes – within five working days.

There is no minimum spend with bespoke orders

Unfortunately, Bespoke jewellery is non-returnable and non-refundable.

Care, Repair And Insurance

Complimentary Care is our annual maintenance service, which covers cleaning, polishing, replating and checking settings. Please note that this service is voided if your jewellery has been worked on by a third-party company.

When you buy a piece of jewellery with us you will receive a diamond grading report detailing its carat weight, clarity, colour and cut grade.

In addition, we offer one complimentary ring resize (subsequent ring resizing can incur high costs) and engraving on all rings.

Yes. Every finished engagement ring or piece of fine jewellery will be accompanied by a full insurance evaluation.

If there is a manufacturing fault with your jewellery, we are happy to fix this in our workshop or to issue a refund.

In the unlikely event that a diamond comes loose from a piece of your jewellery, please get the item to us. We’ll assess your piece to find out what happened, and do our best to rectify the situation.

There’s no harm in giving your diamond jewellery a quick wipe with a soft cotton cloth every time you wear it. It’ll wipe away some of the build-up and clean the table and top facets of your diamond, but probably won’t get underneath where grime can still affect the sparkle. Soap and water is still the best diamond cleaning method. Before you start, however, check your jewellery’s setting is secure – if the diamond can move, do not proceed with cleaning, and take your jewellery to a jeweller for fixing and cleaning. If your jewellery is secure, you can follow these steps

  1. Add a few drops of gentle dishwashing liquid to a bowl of lukewarm water
  2. Soak each piece separately in the solution for 10 minutes
  3. Remove from the bowl and gently scrub using a soft-bristled toothbrush – one that you only use for this purpose
  4. Rinse well in clean, lukewarm water to get rid of residue
  5. Leave to air dry in a safe place or dry with a lint-free cloth to avoid any pieces of thread sticking to your jewellery

It’s a good idea to give your jewellery a professional clean once a year
